Application Method Of (NUMIX) System

To prepare the surface for the first time
when painting the car for the first time, the surface should be cleaned very well (National Cleaner), then apply one coat of National Wash Primer. After 30 minutes treat the surface with National Top or Sky Fly Putty which should be mixed with 2% of its hardener. After 30 minutes of applying the putty scrub it with the appropriate sanding paper (120- 220) for dry sanding or (220-400) for wet sanding. Then apply one coat of National Acrylic Separation Primer that should be mixed with 20% of National NUMIX Hardener and reduced by 40% with National NUMIX Thinner (depending on weather temperature, 1- Temp. less than (20 C) use fast thinner, 2- Temp. more than (40 C) use slow thinner, 3- Temp. between (20-40 C) use standard thinner.)
It is better to apply several thin coats of the primer and allow each coat to dry by giving 10-15 minutes between each two coats. When the primer is completely dry (better to leave it one day complete) , rub it, using sanding paper from initial to final (320-500) dry flatting. Following that, use National Top or Sky Fly Putty to fix any pores, holes or cracks in the surface where after that the surface will be ready to use National NUMIX Paint.
National NUMIX Basecoat (lK) Paint is only reduced with National NUMIX Thinner for 50% (202 or 204 depending on the weather conditions). If National NUMIX TOP COAT (2K) to be used, then mix it with National NUMIX Hardener and reduce it by National NUMIX Thinner as 100:50:50 simultaneously. Mix the paint well then apply several medium coats and leave (10-15) minutes drying time between each two coats. If National NUMIX Auto Base is used then apply one coat of National Auto Clear Lacquer after the paint is totally dry where the lacquer is mixed with National NUMIX Hardener and thinned by the appropriate thinner as 100:50:50 simultaneously.
To Repaint the Car
After cleaning the surface very well (National Cleaner) and sanding the surface with sand paper (500-1000), apply one coat of National Acrylic Separation Primer after mixing and thinning as described above. When the primer is totally dry, use the putty to fix any pores, holes or cracks in the surface if needed, where after that the surface will be ready for painting. Now use the desired paint (Base Coat 1K or Top Coat 2K). If using National NUMIX Base Coat 1K, apply one coat National Auto Clear Lacquer after being mixed in the previously described ratio.
To Repair Part of the Car
Clean the surface very well (National Cleaner) and apply one coat of National Acrylic Separation Primer after being mixed and reduced, then use the putty to fix any pores, holes or cracks in the surface where after that the surface will be ready for painting.
Prepare the desired paint taking into consideration the following:
- If using NUMIX-Top coat (2K) apply coat to the repair area then apply miss coat to the surrounding area then give coat of (National sport Repair Thinner)
- If using NUMIX-Base coat (1K) apply coat to the repair area then apply miss coat to the surrounding area then give the same thing for clear coat then give coat (National spot Repair Thinner)
Note: Top Coat (2K) and Auto Clear Lacquer after being sprayed should be put in an oven of a temp 60 C for 30 minutes.
