Problem Solving Mildew Due to the presence of fungi that feed on the paint film; black, brown, or gray spots forms on the surface. Cause: Lack of direct sunlight Use of low quality point with insufficient significant material. Painting over an old defected coating or substrate that is already defected. Solution: Clean the mildewed surfaces with water and cleaning detergents. Remove all mildew by scrubbing with chlorine and water. Make sure all spots have been gone. Rinse again afterwards When the surface is dry, apply one coat or two of National Top and for more protection we advise the use of Emulsion Trust.
