Mildew



Due to the presence of fungi that feed on the paint film; black, brown, or gray spots forms on the surface.
Cause:
  • Lack of direct sunlight
  • Use of low quality point with insufficient significant material.
  • Painting over an old defected coating or substrate that is already defected.
Solution:
  • Clean the mildewed surfaces with water and cleaning detergents.
  • Remove all mildew by scrubbing with chlorine and water. Make sure all spots have been gone. Rinse again afterwards
  • When the surface is dry, apply one coat or two of National Top and for more protection we advise the use of Emulsion Trust.
